Biography

Renowned for her dynamic and vibrant abstract paintings, Nicole has carved a distinct niche in contemporary art through her use of acrylics on canvas, wood panels, and linen. Her work, characterised by colourful, non-minimalistic pointillism and fluid organic shapes, evokes a deep connection to the natural world. Drawing inspiration from the lush landscapes of rural Africa and the endemic flora of the Aegean, Nicole infuses each piece with symbolic elements that celebrate the harmony between human essence and the environment.

In addition to her traditional media, Nicole explores the intersection of digital and physical art by incorporating digital techniques with hand-painted acrylics as well as acrylic pens. This fusion results in pieces that are as innovative as they are soulful, pushing the boundaries of abstract art while maintaining a deep-rooted connection to her inspirations from nature and spiritual symbolism. Her work invites viewers to reflect on the inherent beauty of organic forms and the unseen energies that animate life.

One of Nicole Meeuws's most significant projects is her series of “soul frequency” paintings, where clients provide personal photographs, and she tunes into their energy and aura to create bespoke, unique abstract works. These deeply personalized pieces resonate with individuals worldwide, encapsulating their essence in a visually striking form that has found homes across the world. Through this unique approach, Nicole not only creates art but also fosters a meaningful connection between the viewer and their inner landscape.
